batik !

I f you read yesterday's newspapaper ( in this case I mean KOMPAS ), you'd know that UNICEF had declared that BATIK is a true traditional heritage from Indonesia, and they establish it as " peninggalan bukan benda" which means a heritage in form of arts, dances, culture, etc. It's a good thing so " that country " won't claim Batik as their heritage anymore. Batik itself is considered as the symbol of humanity.



And for your information, it will be innaugurated on 2 October 2009, so President SBY wants us to use BATIK everywhere we go that day. The gov is taking it more seriously on that matter, we can see that at the way they're promoting Indonesia's heritage now, they're now trying to put angklung in UNICEF's list so they can claim that angklung is Indonesia's heritage too : )
